ChatWidgeX provides live chat and knowledge-base software to merchants ("customers"). This policy explains what we store and why.
Your name, email, company name, website, the articles and images you upload, your widget settings, and billing identifiers from Stripe. We never see or store card numbers; Stripe handles payment.
When a visitor uses the chat on a merchant's site we store the messages, any name and email they give, the page they were on, and a random visitor id kept in their browser so a conversation continues between pages. This data belongs to the merchant and is shown only to that merchant's agents.
We do not sell data, do not show ads, and do not train AI on your content. Knowledge-base search runs on our own servers; no article or search is sent to a third party.
So that each visitor sees the chat in their own language, the widget's fixed wording (buttons and labels) and a merchant's greeting, away message, header and opt-in wording are translated by DeepL SE once per language and then stored by us. If a merchant switches on chat translation, the text of chat messages written in a different language from the merchant's team is sent to DeepL to be translated, and the translation is stored alongside the original. We use DeepL's API Pro service, under which DeepL deletes texts immediately after translating them. Nothing from a conversation is sent to DeepL while chat translation is switched off.
The dashboards set one sign-in cookie. The widget sets no cookies; it uses the browser's local storage for the visitor id.
Merchants can delete articles, images and agents at any time from the dashboard. To delete an account and everything in it, email glamor4beauty@gmail.com.
